The Driving Force Behind Llanera Law Office

atty. Mary Ann B. Llanera

Atty. Mary Ann B. Llanera is a seasoned legal practitioner whose career reflects depth, versatility, and a steadfast devotion to her clients’ causes. After earning her Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of San Carlos College of Law and Governance and her Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of the Philippines Cebu College, she was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2015. She devoted nearly a decade of public service as a District Public Attorney at the Public Attorney’s Office in Catbalogan City, where she represented indigent clients in a wide range of cases, honing her litigation skills in high-stakes and sensitive matters. She later established Llanera Law Office, where she continues to handle diverse legal concerns, including criminal cases such as murder, homicide, rape, child abuse, anti-trafficking, and drug-related offenses, as well as civil cases involving land disputes, collection of sums of money, correction of entries in civil registries, annulment of marriage, and administrative and labor matters. Her practice extends beyond borders, serving clients both in the Philippines and abroad.

Her experience is further enriched by her role as a former Associate Professor at the College of Criminal Justice Education of Samar College, where she taught criminal law to criminology students, and by her leadership as a Board Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Samar Chapter (2025–2027). Grounded in her background of coming from a family of farmers, Atty. Llanera carries a deep understanding of the struggles faced by those with limited means. This has shaped her commitment to continue handling pro bono cases even in private practice, ensuring that lack of financial capacity does not hinder access to justice. Across all facets of her career, her work consistently demonstrates a combination of legal competence, public service, and an unwavering dedication to advocating for those she represents.
